Locally Approved was established to strengthen local communities by promoting the use of local services, helping young apprentices find work and supporting charities. The platform’s primary goal was to provide peace of mind to customers by ensuring that all members were thoroughly vetted in person. As a company we conducted background checks on insurance, qualifications, associations, awards and reviews before they could join. I spearheaded this project; overseeing the creation of the name, branding, website, animations, illustrations and marketing strategy. We also secured EU funding to support the website’s development. The platform experienced rapid growth, with around 200 members by 2019.
